At a young age, Andrew Myers was inspired by the Italian sculpting master Bernini; but felt he would never measure up. Instead of following in his idol’s style, Andrew traveled down his own path to create works of art out of thousands of carefully painted screws, creating a three-dimensional experience. Travel helps Andrew better define who he is as an artist and as a person. His latest journeys take him to the beautiful city of Rome, the epicenter of the art world, where he found inspiration for his latest work, “Il Colloseo.”
